Moiza Rafath is a graduate in Economics and has a PG Diploma in Public Relations. She has earned a rich experience in Hospitality, Banking and Healthcare industries before she heard her calling for Education. She stepped into the field of Education with her Montessori 3-6 Diploma from AMI, Netherlands, followed by B. Ed. Her training set the stage for all things she undertook. She set up Pebble Creek Montessori House of Children in 2005, followed by Pebble Creek High Montessori School in 2008 and Pebble Creek Life School in 2012.
She believes in the shortest quote of Dr Maria Montessori “Believe in the child”. She believes that if observed carefully, every single child will show her/his true potential. With her passion for Montessori education and a dream to have a school with no boundaries, she walks into the school with joy each day. She aspires to set up a farm that will be a learning space for children. Her special interest are thinking, dreaming and imagining, these have helped her pave the path for the school so far. Besides this, her interests are reading Montessori philosophy and short articles on education, discussions, creating educational materials, gardening, sewing, painting, knitting and reading fiction.
Aditya is a Chartered Accountant by chance and an educator by choice. He has completed his Bachelor in Education degree after getting the Diploma in Experiential Education and Practice. He works in Pebble Creek Life School as the Middle and Secondary Years facilitator of Maths, English, Social Sciences and Life Skills, though Mathematics is his first love. He believes in developing essential 21st century competencies in his students. He believes in creating safe learning environments where learning takes place organically. He is passionate about education and many other things such as sustainable living, organic farming, alternate medicine, football and learning new languages.
Pragathi has an M.A. in Public & Personnel Management. Having got introduced to Montessori education in the US, during her stint there and in quest for Montessori education for her children, Pragathi ended up making her career in teaching.
In her long-standing association of over eight years with Pebble Creek, beginning as an Assistant Teacher and covering differential aspects of the school operations – administration, coordination etc., now Pragathi has been working with Lower Elementary as a facilitator for learning. In an effort to better her love and passion to work with children, she is now enrolled with prestigious AMI Montessori for her own personal and professional development. Prior to joining Pebble Creek, she has worked in Hospitality, Healthcare and IT. She is also passionate about photography, various art forms, travel – knowing new places and is in constant search for more knowledge. She is also a firm believer of leading by example.
M Mercy Jyothsna
Mercy has been working in the education field for five years. She did her Post-graduation in Bio-chemistry and Bachelor of Education in Biology. She works in Pebble creek life school as a trained graduate teacher. She is a dedicated team player with good communication skills. Her experience over a few years with students of various age groups brings in versatile understanding which helps her in the classrooms with diverse personalities and learning styles. She is passionate about dance and considers it to be a great workout.
ShauryaPratap is an engineer by qualification but an educator by profession. After a stint, as a networking engineer in a telecom company, he moved to outdoor education and facilitation. He holds a diploma in experiential education and practices. He believes in developing a classroom into a community where every student feels free and safe to express his/her ideas, views and opinions. He is an avid astronomer, a fervent guitar player and a die-hard mountaineer.
Pre-school and Primary Head
I have been associated with Pebble Creek from the time of its inception. I have grown along with the school and feel happy and proud of what Pebble Creek stands for. My ten years of work with children and managing the school at A.S. Rao Nagar made me take up the prestigious AMI Trainer’s Training Programme in the 3 to 6 years level. My latest interest is to see the
developmental patterns in children. As the Head of the Primary Montessori and Lower Elementary at PCLS TMK, my focus is on the ensuring the preparedness of environments for children every day and the processes involved in the same, rather than the result; since it is the process and each individual’s journey that eventually leads a person onto success, be it in academics, co –scholastic development or the development of the holistic personality.
Shurobi is a Mass Communications graduate, with many years of freelance and full time experience working in the capacity of Language skills evaluator, a communications trainer and operations management with a leading Recruitment and Skills Assessment firm. As a student of Mass communication she has had varied experience working in content writing, publishing newspaper articles, working with NGOs, street children and marginalized communities. She has always been passionate about children and their immense potential; she completed the AMI Netherlands,Montessori 3-6 Diploma. She has also assisted on the training course working directly with the Director of Training at MTRT, Hyderabad. She is currently pursuing her BEd and has she is fascinated with experiential education practices.. She found her peace and passion in the Montessori Philosophy and continues to find joy in working and learning with children every day at Pebble Creek. She enjoys writing, dance and music, crochet, pottery, poetry and philosophy.
Arindita identifies herself as an experiential educator and creative facilitator. After graduating from Delhi University, she delved into the field of media, documentary film-making, book publishing, social development and eventually, alternative education. She has been working as an experiential educator and trainer for eight years. She is a strong believer of the creative community model and Play for Peace values in creating opportunities for conflict resolution. Working with children and seeing them imbibe the spirit of empathy as they grow, is what keeps her motivated day in and day out.
Head – Upper Elementary and Language Curriculum for Elementary Years
Nisha has a wide range of experience of working in Education in different roles. She did her graduation and post-graduation in Elementary Education. She also has a Diploma in Experiential Education and Practice.
Her exploration to create a classroom culture which is safe and democratic has led her to explore the principles of experiential education. She believes that ‘emotions are gatekeepers to learning’ and therefore she uses the process of community building to create safe learning environments in her classrooms. Her experience testifies that once the children feel safe in the classrooms, their academic and social performance enhances as the children feel capable of taking charge of their own learning.
She is passionate about exploring essential life skills with children. These skills include practicing democracy, being intrinsically motivated, recognizing power dynamics within and around oneself and recognizing one’s own value-system. Her focus is to create a culture of learning, co-creation, ownership and purposefulness.
She is excited about working with children, theatre, traveling, story-telling and exploring sustainability as a life value. Nisha has a keen interest in exploring theatre and play as a methodology for learning and peace-building.
