Likitha has a Diploma in Special Education. It gives her a lot of satisfaction and joy to work with children with special needs and their parents and to see them grow. Prior to joining Pebble Creek, she has worked at a child development center where she has seen positive changes in children with whom she has worked.
Counsellor and Special Educator
Jyothi comes to Pebble Creek with over 21 years of teaching and leadership experience. She holds a Bachelor and two Master Degree in General Education and Personnel Management. She also hold a Bachelor degree in Special Education which gives her proficiency in handling children with intellectual disabilities, ADHD, autism, emotional and behavioural needs. Her goal, as a counsellor at Pebble Creek, is to create an environment of trust and respect where children feel safe to express and be themselves. As a special educator, she advocates to provide meaningful learning experiences through differentiated instruction and peer and collaborative learning.
Her experience of teaching in First and Third World countries has widened her horizon to the needs and challenges of students and to celebrate diversity. Her educational philosophy echoes with one of Einstein’s quotes: “Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school.” She is a strong believer in the principles of Restorative Practices and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports System.
When she is not at school, she enjoys travelling, cooking, baking, sewing, crafting, quilling and jewelry making.
